Basuki Wants Ship in Muara Angke Restricted

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama asks Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept to restrict the lean ship in Muara Angke. This is because, a dike which being built often hit by the ship thus it is prone to collapse.

Due to wave threats, the dike can collapse if it was hit by the ship that wants to lean on the dock

"Due to wave threats, the dike can collapse if it was hit by the ship that wants to lean on the dock," he stated, during executive meeting, at City Hall, Monday (6/20).

Basuki explains, such dike was not designed to withstand the blow of the ship. If this condition continues, the dike will collapse and soak the area.

The Flat Remains Provided for Muara Angke Residents

"It's very sensitive, the lean ship should completely be restricted. If it is collapsed, the people around can be a victim," he expressed.

When being confirmed, Head of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept admitted had checked the location. There has been a prohibition for ships to lean on.

"We actually has banned ships to lean on there. We've checked it to ensure," he finished.
